R&P: Last Song You Heard On The Radio You Found Decent?
728X15s
by this of course I mean, the "mainstream" radio.
c'mon now metal militia you can say it.
928X90
california girls by katy perry.
i admit it. that song is damn catchy.
metal militia? hm... anyway
It's been a while since I've made the voluntary action of turning on the radio, but I am subjected to it when I'm not the driver. The last song that I found decent....
Decent as used to describe something which is considered to be of an acceptable standard or quality....
I heard Lisztomania on the radio today on the way to picking up lunch. I'm not really a huge Phoenix fan, but it's a decent song with a good hook that's been in my head the rest of the day.
Yeah the newest Katy Perry, can't wait for her album, lulz. I never mind hearing Lady Gaga on the radio too, it's a shame most of the "pop slop" they play can't live up to the standard of these two ladiez. Well hey actually they play that Broken Bells tune, "The High Road" on KROQ, that song ain't bad.
Classic Rock and whatnot *does* count as mainstream btw... not that most of what they play is any good either... actually I'm being too harsh, if I'm in the right mood, most of it sounds decent.
I think one thing people do is they "rely" too much on music, and if they would simply straighten out their lives, they would find that a lot of music is plenty good. Music can't solve your problems for you.
i cant remember the last time i listened to "mainstream" ... lets switch that to "corporate", shall we? we can even take away the quote marks.... i cant remember the last time i listened to corporate radio. if my radio malfunctioned and stopped registering stations above 91.9 i wouldnt know till someone borrowed by car.
snow patrol for me too,
i havent listen to the radio for years tho, it was chasing cars,
and id only staerted listening to the radio again at that point too,
i tend to watch music tv more, cos the radio, is pretty rubbish nowadays too
so i do watch a lot of the new ones, and the last new one was probably temper trap love lost that i really loved
I don't really ever listen to the radio, but I can't really ever remember hating a "mainstream" (not that the term means much) song. I find basically all of them decent or better, at least the singles.
2 Minutes to Midnight by Iron Maiden, I was at work, the radio was on, and it started playing, I nearly dropped the plate I was holding from sheer shock. that was 3 days ago, and the last time I listened to the radio
I'll admit... I'm the type to rock out to ANY song I hear on the radio that I know. Katie Perry, Lady Gaga, whoever.
I can completely hate a song and still sing it at the top of my lungs. 'Cause that's just the way I roll. :-)
I actually love a lot of the music that's on the radio (Despite all the whining that a lot of people do here). One of the one's that's been on the radio a lot that I love is "Billionaire" by Travie McCoy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8aRor905c…
'Airplanes' - B.o.B ft. Hayley Williams
I'm an unabashed admirer of Hayley Williams, so naturally I'd enjoy it, and it is a decent song with a catchy-as-hell chorus.
La Roux - "Bulletproof"
John Mayer - "Half of My Heart"
The Script - "Breakeven"
And I loved the singles from Jay-Z's The Blueprint 3--"Run This Town," "Empire State of Mind," "On to the Next One," etc.
And anything by Lady Gaga or Kanye West.
last nite - the strokes
I couldn't believe my ears when it started playing on KROQ.... (california) but then I probably won't here it ever again.
I think i might kill myself If i hear another Phoenix song on the radio....
